This opportunity is for a Physical Therapist to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment located in Renton, WA. The contract position spans the full school year, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on students physical development and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions to students with physical disabilities or challenges
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other therapists to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Assist in integrating therapy goals with classroom activities and school programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and district policies
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials valid in Washington state
- Experience working with children in a K-12 educational setting or a related pediatric physical therapy role
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with school staff and families
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Knowledge of school-based therapy regulations and compliance
